Big Brothers & Big Sisters: Middle School Mentoring

A collaborative effort to bridge mentoring programs on Kaua‘i has given life to a partnership between the Kaua‘i Big Brothers and Big Sister and Kauai Team Challenge, Inc. At Kapaʻa Middle School, for example, intermediately-aged youth are matched with high school mentors for a weekly mentoring program that combines the Art to Go and Leadership curricula. This after school program develops social competencies and builds relationships based on positive role modeling.

If you are a Kapaʻa high school student interested in becoming a mentor, or if you are a Kapaʻa middle school student looking for a mentor, contact Mason Chock from Kauai Team Challenge Inc. at (808) 651-7013 or contact Daniel Sanchez at the Kauai Big Brothers and Big Sisters program directly at (808) 855-9495.
