Shyla Ayau is the Vice President of Kupu A’e Leadership Development and has been focusing on personal and professional growth for organizations state-wide. She held twelve years as a public servant in county government and received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration through the University of Hawai’i at West O’ahu. While working for a leadership development company, she was able to pursue her Master’s degree in Human Resources Management at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Shyla is dedicated and committed to affecting change and leadership within education, government, and businesses, which inspired her to continue her academic journey. She is currently in her Doctorate program studying Organizational Leadership at the University of Phoenix. Shyla is a certified facilitator of Everything DiSC Workplace, Work of Leaders, The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, and trained facilitator of The Leadership Challenge.
Makana Kaha`ulelio is the founder of Inspire! Facilitation Services. She provides creative Community Building and Leadership Programs for individuals and organizations to support leadership learning and self-development through experiential facilitation. Makana is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and the University of Hawai`i at Manoa with over 20 years’ experience as an educator and leader. She has worked in both the public and private sectors of Hawai`i’s education system and carries forward a strong background in teaching, a commitment to her community, and a keen sense of the importance of place and culture in Hawai`i. Makana has facilitated team building and leadership programs with student groups of all ages as well as adults in corporate organizations across the state of Hawai`i and abroad and is a trained facilitator in The Leadership Challenge.
